LABVIEW

OBJECTIVE

  • To study about the LabView student edition Fall 2009
  • To understand more about the LabView student edition Fall 2009

METHOD

  1. Install on the computer
  2. Try run the LabVIEW

RESULT

LabVIEW (short for Laboratory Virtual Instrumentation Engineering Workbench) is a system design platform and development environment for a visual programming language from National Instruments.
The graphical language is named "G" (not to be confused with G-code). Originally released for the Apple Macintosh in 1986, LabVIEW is commonly used for data acquisition, instrument control, and industrial automation on a variety of platforms including Microsoft Windows, various versions of UNIX, Linux, and Mac OS X. The latest version of LabVIEW is LabVIEW 2012, released in August 2012.
In this project, I use LabVIEW student edition Fall 2009 but it is unstable. So I have to download some certain software. There are two example for the software http://joule.ni.com/nidu/cds/view/p/id/1542/lang/en or http://joule.ni.com/nidu/cds/view/p/lang/en/id/1555. The biggest problem with this software that is when I went to use the Student edition I have of LabVIEW 2009, I could not locate the DAQ Assistant. So I have to download http://joule.ni.com/nidu/cds/view/p/id/2034/lang/en and now, I am still learning it.

The LabVIEW Student Edition Software Suite consists of the following National Instruments software:
  • LabVIEW Student Edition for Windows 7/Vista/XP
  • LabVIEW Control Design and Simulation Module
  • LabVIEW MathScript RT Module
  • LabVIEW Digital Filter Design Toolkit
  • LabVIEW Modulation Toolkit
  • LabVIEW System Identification Toolkit
  • LabVIEW SignalExpress
  • NI Vision Development Module
  • NI Vision Builder for Automated Inspection (AI)
  • NI Vision Acquisition Software

Benefits of Using LabVIEW:

1. Program the Way You Think—Visually
The graphical nature of LabVIEW makes it easier to develop working code faster. With LabVIEW, quickly drag and drop built-in functions to simplify acquisition, analysis, control, and data sharing so you can spend less time on syntax errors and more time on creating your application.
2. Easily Connect to Hardware and Other Applications
LabVIEW easily connects to any device—be it hardware or outside applications like Microsoft Excel. You can depend on this seamless development experience as you write your program.
3. Bring Your Design Vision to Life
From inexpensive medical devices to complex underwater autonomous vehicles, students are engineering a better world using LabVIEW.

CONCLUSION

This LabView is a software that connected to hardware. By using this LabVIEW, the performance of electrical propertiesa can be measured. The performance being measured in graf.
